Food in Oman


Omani people eat many kinds of food such as: rice with meat, fish, chickens, dates, salad and fruit. People in villages and cities eat the same kinds of food. Moreover, at Eid Omani people eat meat such as: mashakik, Shaw and maqle. Furthermore, sweetmeats such as: Hallway and Hairs.

Climate in Oman


The weather in Oman is very hot. It has two seasons, winter and summer. The weather in the mountain regions is different form the weather on the coast. The weather on the coast is hot and wet, but in the mountains it is very cold and dry. Oman has a little bit of rain in each year; most rain is received in the South.

Geography of Oman


Oman covers an area of about 309.500 km and it is the third largest country in terms of area in the Arabian Peninsula. Oman is bounded in the north-east by the gulf of Oman and south-east by Arabian Sea, south-east by Saudi Arabia and the UAE. It has four governorates: Dhofar, Muscat, Mosandam and AL Boraimy. Moreover, there are five regions which are: AL Batina, AL Sharqia, AL Daheran, AL Dakhilia and AL Waste.
